You will have to read this just to see it in black and white and confusion. In a piece of "reasoning" from Krugman as my title suggests apparently believes university must be left to resist the religious nonsense of the right. See The New York Times > Opinion > Op-Ed Columnist: An Academic Question: "...today's Republican Party - increasingly dominated by people who believe truth should be determined by revelation, not research - doesn't respect science, or scholarship in general. It shouldn't be surprising that scholars have returned the favor by losing respect for the Republican Party."
I think the man is finally revealing himself to be unhinged.
